OUR SCHEDULE
This year, we decided to work on a new subject : TOLERANCE.
We had worked on our schools and subjects in 2006-2007 and we had worked very well together. Our schedule was the following:
TOLERANCE
/ INTOLERANCE / BULLYING
Work will have to be sent on time. Students will first
have to show their work to their teacher for correction before putting it on
the plateform.
Write to your penfriend and ask about his/her
holidays. Write about your holidays and write about the start of the school
year ( new things, new subjects, new teachers ...)
November
:
-
what does TOLERANCE mean to you ? ( possible in class to work on
brainstorming first ?)
-
give a definition of tolerance ( personal definition). What does it mean for
you ?
-
give a personal experience of tolerance.
-
give a personal experience of
intolerance.
( The examples should be something they have lived or
seen)
Their
definitions and testimonies would then be recorded with audacity and put
on the twinspace.
-
what does BULLYING mean to you ?
- what is a bully ? what does a bully do ?
-
students do the quizz on http://news.co.uk/cbbcnews/hi/specials/bullying/default.stm
-
express ADVICE and OBLIGATIONS against bullying ( make a document Word or
Powerpoint on the topic. It would look like a poster)
January/February
:
The aim would be to send 2 documents to our penpals.
The first document would be a photo or a painting referring to intolerance OR bullying.
The second document would be a text they would have invented about intolerance or
bullying.
-
work on the documents in class and send a
reaction + advice on the situations.
March/April
:
Choose (according to you) the
most tolerant person in our World history. Write about HIM or HER.
-
explain his/ her role in our history.
-
explain what he or she did.
-
justify your choice.
May
/ June :
Choose photos / drawings / paintings / pictures on
tolerance or bullying or intolerance.
It is possible to draw them.
Use those pictures to make a film with Windows Media
Player.
Music and words must be added to it.
The Czech will vote for the best French film and
explain why.
